I put the healincomfort shirt on the day I left the hospital after my double mastectomy. I loved it! It was comfortable, easy to take on and off, and fit perfectly over my surgical drains. I was so happy to not have to wear an ill-fitting men's shirt to get something roomy enough in my midsection, where I needed more room. I also really enjoyed the bright color of my shirt - it was fun to wear and to see myself in.

Why I created the healincomfort shirt

The healincomfort shirt was created out of personal experience. I am a breast cancer survivor. Diagnosed in 2000 at the age of 40. After surgery movement painful and getting dressed was very difficult. Next, I was handed drain tubes -- one for each hand which posed yet another problem. Without a place for my drains and the difficult and painful experience of getting dressed, I vowed to design proper healing equipment to heal in after surgery in the battle against breast cancer. Once I got home, I shuffled into my closet to get changed out of my hoodie which was sticking to my body, gross! I quickly discovered I didn't have anything to change into, so I designed my own. healincomfort.com

The lanyard was great for showering.

The healincomfort shirt has many uses -- some of them include, breast cancer surgery, shoulder surgery, heart surgery, augmentations, Alzheimer patients and anyone who has difficulty getting dressed.
